Thank you, miigwech for your interest! We really value our employees and we believe in building a strong community culture.

Are you proactive, detail-oriented, and reliable in a production environment? MINI TIPI wants to meet you!

This role supports operational continuity and efficiency by ensuring that all materials, components, and workstations are properly prepared and organized before and during production. You will play a key role in maintaining production flow, material organization, and in-line quality control.

This is a temporary position (6 months) with a strong possibility of extension based on business needs and performance.

A typical day at MINI TIPI involves:

  • Keeping production flowing by preparing and supplying materials according to the production plan and the supervisor's instructions
  • Verifying the availability of required components (e.g., zippers, labels, fringes) and coordinating quantities and colors with the Production Coordinator
  • Moving and organizing materials across the production floor, including lifting up to 50 lbs and retrieving items from elevated storage using appropriate equipment
  • Organizing fabric rolls for cutting and transporting cut products to sewing stations and designated storage areas
  • Performing in-line quality checks, including hourly bin checks, to ensure product conformity
  • Identifying and reporting defects or non-conformities early to maintain quality standards
  • Supporting finishing processes, including final inspection, folding, and packaging
  • Assisting with cutting or sewing tasks as needed to support production
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workspace (including sweeping and waste removal)
  • Following all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE, and reporting hazards or equipment issues promptly

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience in a production, manufacturing, sewing, or warehouse environment (strongly preferred)
  • Is comfortable with physical, hands-on work (lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods)
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Can follow verbal and written instructions and work within standardized processes
  • Has basic organizational skills and can support workflow in a fast-paced environment
  • Is proactive, reliable, and solution-oriented
  • Works well in a team and communicates effectively (French and/or English)
  • Has an interest in or respect for Indigenous culture and collaboration (asset)

What we offer:

  • Temporary 6-month position with strong possibility of extension
  • Competitive salary
  • Monday to Friday schedule (40 hours/week), with Fridays ending at 2 pm
  • 50% discount on MINI TIPI products
  • Additional paid holiday (Easter Monday)
  • Parking available at our Aylmer location
  • Monthly team meetings and team-building activities
  • A bright, clean, and collaborative work environment
  • A company committed to local production, community involvement, and employee well-being
